Templer Park International School Rawang (TPIS), recently partnered with the United Kingdom Education Centre (UKEC) to provide students from Grade 9 to IGCSE with a valuable opportunity to explore their potential career paths through the RIASEC aptitude test.
The RIASEC test—based on psychologist John Holland’s theory of career and vocational choice—assesses individuals based on six personality types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional. By identifying each student’s unique combination of these traits, the test offers insights into the types of careers that align best with their personal interests, strengths, and characteristics.
This initiative is part of TPIS’s commitment to supporting students in discovering their strengths and aligning them with future academic and professional goals. By taking the RIASEC test, students are better equipped to understand themselves and make informed decisions about their future pathways.
Representatives from UKEC facilitated the assessment process and provided personalized reports to each student, outlining the career fields most compatible with their personality profiles. These insights also help guide future subject selections and post-secondary planning.
The program plays a vital role in TPIS’s broader mission to prepare students not just academically, but also for real-world success and personal fulfillment.
