What happens when you put a group of curious minds, a room full of stories, and a little imagination together? You get a literacy adventure full of creativity, laughter, teamwork, and surprises! ✨

This International Literacy Day, our school auditorium transformed into a world of words as our students took part in a series of exciting literacy missions designed to make reading, writing, and storytelling more fun than ever.

Our youngest learners kicked things off by creating Reading Superpower Bookmarks, turning simple pieces of paper into colourful reminders of the power of imagination, curiosity, and courage. 📖🔖

Then came the Musical Book Surprise, where stories were anything but quiet! Students read aloud using fun and expressive voices, bringing characters and adventures to life. Suddenly, the auditorium was filled with dramatic voices, curious characters, and plenty of smiles. 🎭🎶

Things became even more unpredictable during the Crazy Story Relay. Working together, students built imaginative stories one idea at a time — with surprise twists appearing along the way. And yes, there were even time-travelling cats involved! 🐱⏰ Who said storytelling had to follow the rules?

For our final challenge, the Literacy Escape Challenge put everyone’s thinking skills to the test. Students raced against the clock, solving riddles, uncovering clues, and piecing together the mystery. 🔐🧩 It was a perfect combination of reading, problem-solving, teamwork, and a little friendly competition.

From bookmarks and musical storytelling to crazy adventures and mystery-solving, International Literacy Day was a wonderful reminder that literacy is more than just reading words on a page — it is about imagining new worlds, expressing ideas, solving problems, and connecting with others.
