The Digestive System came to life in an exciting and creative way for our Grade 5 students at Templer Park International School Rawang(TPIS)! Instead of learning only from textbooks, students rolled up their sleeves and turned science into hands-on fun by drawing and creating their own digestive system models.

Using colourful drawings and simple materials, students carefully mapped out each part of the digestive system—from the mouth all the way to the intestines. As they worked, they learned how each organ plays an important role in breaking down food and turning it into energy for the body. The classroom was filled with curiosity, discussion, and plenty of “aha!” moments.

The highlight of the lesson was when students confidently explained their models to their classmates. They shared how food moves through the body and described the function of each organ in their own words. This activity not only strengthened their understanding of science concepts but also developed their communication skills, creativity, and confidence.

At TPIS, we believe learning is most meaningful when students are actively involved. This engaging digestive system project allowed our Grade 5 learners to explore science in a fun, memorable, and interactive way. Well done to our young scientists for a fantastic learning experience!
