Selangor, Malaysia – 25 July 2025
Templer Park International School (TPIS) is pleased to announce a promising strategic collaboration with Yayasan Selangor (YS), following a fruitful meeting aimed at aligning both institutions around a shared vision of educational excellence and innovation. This engagement marks the beginning of a broader partnership focused on positioning Selangor as a leading Education Hub in Malaysia—integrating global standards, future-focused learning, and inclusive development.
The TPIS delegation was led by Dr. Mohammad Fadi Qaddo, Member of the Board of Governors and Chief Officer of Innovation and Transformation (CITO), joined by Hj Md Noor, Shareholder and Director of TPIS, and Ms. Yasmin Zaharuddin, Admin Executive cum General Affairs. They were welcomed by YBhg. Raja Nazirin Shah, Chief Executive Officer of Yayasan Selangor, along with senior members of the foundation.
“We are deeply honored by the openness and visionary mindset of Yayasan Selangor. This partnership is not just an initiative; it is a commitment to transforming how education is delivered, experienced, and scaled in Selangor,” shared Dr. Qaddo.
Key Areas of Collaboration
1. “Adopt a School” Innovation Model
Yayasan Selangor is launching an education support model targeting students in Selangor, with a pilot phase involving 4 schools—including Bandar Seri Putra—and a goal to expand to up to 40 schools. TPIS will be an academic and technological partner, contributing its expertise in digital teaching (with Google-certified educators) and teacher development.
2. Dual Certification and System Transformation
One of the core initiatives discussed is the dual certification model—merging Malaysia’s KSSM syllabus with the Cambridge curriculum. TPIS will support this project by offering expertise in curriculum design, teacher training, and quality assurance. Implementation will be led by Token, a digital solutions entity under TALEEM, with support from Al Motahida Education Group Malaysia, a long-standing educational partner recognized for its contributions to system development, content localization, and digital transformation in learning environments across the region. Al Motahida will support:
- Educational ERP systems design and deployment
- Teacher training and technical capacity building
- Localized solutions for KSSM and international curriculum delivery
3. Federal-Approved Arabic Language Curriculum
TPIS will lead the adoption and training for the JAKIM-approved Arabic language curriculum across selected YS schools. This effort follows federal endorsement and aligns with national goals for Islamic and language education.
4. Vocational and TVET Streams
A shared commitment to equip students with career-ready skills has led to the inclusion of TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) tracks. TPIS and its partners will assist in program design, trainer development, and implementation of competency-based learning.
5. Joint Events and Student Opportunities
Both institutions will co-organize a Sports Day and University Exhibition on 12 September 2025, with the participation of local and international universities, providing students with exposure to global opportunities and pathways.
6. Facilities and Campus Arrangements
Final agreements regarding TPIS’s use of Lot 1 and Lot 2 have been positively resolved, allowing future planning to proceed smoothly. A follow-up site visit to TPIS is confirmed for 8 August 2025 to continue coordination and planning.
“With the strength of Yayasan Selangor’s community mission, TPIS’s innovation, and Al Motahida’s technical expertise—we are confident this partnership will create scalable, impactful solutions for schools in Selangor and beyond,” concluded Dr. Qaddo.
