On June 26, 2025, the science lab of Templer Park International School (TPIS), Rawang, were buzzing with excitement, laughter, and the delightful messiness of science in action. Our annual Primary STEAM Fair was a colorful celebration of curiosity, hands-on learning, and youthful innovation — and it did not disappoint!

This year’s fair featured a variety of exciting, student-led experiments and activities, each designed to highlight key concepts in STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The young scientists of TPIS enthusiastically dove into projects that were as fun as they were educational:

🟢 Oobleck: Students got their hands dirty exploring this magical non-Newtonian fluid — part solid, part liquid — and used it to learn about states of matter. Squeals of delight filled the room as oobleck oozed, bounced, and defied expectations!

🦷 Elephant Toothpaste: A foamy eruption took center stage as students mixed hydrogen peroxide, soap, and yeast to create a chemical reaction that wowed the crowd. This bubbly favorite was a perfect introduction to exothermic reactions — with just the right amount of science and spectacle.

🌋 Volcano Eruptions: Classic and always thrilling, our mini volcanoes “erupted” with vinegar and baking soda, demonstrating the power of chemical reactions and earth science in an unforgettable (and safe!) way.

🔵 Marble Maze: Young engineer put their design skills to the test, crafting intricate mazes for marbles to roll through. This activity combined physics, problem-solving, and creativity — and sparked more than a few friendly competitions!

These projects weren’t just about experiments; they were about thinking critically, testing ideas, learning from mistakes, and most of all, having fun with learning. The fair encouraged students to ask “what if?” and “why not?” — and empowered them to find out for themselves.

At TPIS, we believe in nurturing future innovators by giving them the tools and freedom to explore, experiment, and express. Our Primary STEAM Fair was a shining example of how science and creativity go hand-in-hand — and we couldn’t be prouder of our young learners.

Until next year’s fair, keep questioning, keep exploring, and never stop being curious! 🧪🌈✨
