At Templer Park International School Rawang (TPIS), we believe that every child’s emotional well-being is as important as their academic success. Recently, our primary students participated in a specially designed Play Therapy Session, offering them a safe and engaging space to explore their feelings, build confidence, and strengthen social skills.

Play therapy is a powerful tool for children as it allows them to express their thoughts and emotions through play – their natural language. For many young learners, it can be difficult to put complex feelings into words. Through guided activities, games, and role-playing exercises, children at TPIS learned to communicate their emotions, manage stress, and develop positive coping strategies in a fun and interactive way.

πŸ’‘ Why is Play Therapy Important?
β€’ Emotional Expression: It gives children a healthy outlet to express emotions they may not yet know how to verbalize.
β€’ Social Development: Working in groups teaches teamwork, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
β€’ Confidence Building: Successfully navigating play activities boosts self-esteem and resilience.
β€’ Stress Relief: It creates a safe space for children to relax, release tension, and process their experiences.

This session reflects TPIS’s commitment to supporting the whole child – nurturing both emotional intelligence and academic growth. By integrating play therapy into our student support program, we aim to create a positive school environment where every child feels understood, valued, and empowered to thrive.
