Templer Park International School Rawang (TPIS) was honoured to welcome Machida Technical High School from Japan for a special cultural exchange visit that celebrated learning, friendship, and cultural understanding. The visiting group consisted of 18 students and 5 teachers, who were warmly received by the TPIS community.
The event involved active participation from Grade 10 and 11 students of TPIS, who eagerly joined the sharing session to learn more about life and education in Japan. The students from Machida presented their specialized courses, including Information Technology, Information Design, and Electrical Engineering, offering valuable insight into the technical high school experience in Japan.
The session became even more meaningful as students from both schools shared stories about their daily lives, interests, and some of Japan’s most famous cultural highlights. In return, TPIS students also presented about their own lives and school experiences in Malaysia, fostering a mutual appreciation for each other’s backgrounds.
In a heartwarming moment of connection, the visiting students also had the opportunity to meet and interact with our Japanese primary students at TPIS, bringing a sense of community and cultural pride to the younger learners as well.
The day continued with a cheerful shared lunch, giving students more time to bond and exchange stories in a relaxed setting. Before parting, both schools took part in a gift exchange, symbolizing friendship, gratitude, and the hope for future connections.
This cultural exchange was a truly enriching experience for everyone involved. TPIS is proud to provide opportunities for international collaboration and looks forward to welcoming more guests in the future. Special thanks to Machida Technical High School for making this day so memorable!
