What an incredible day of togetherness and pride! Templer Park International School Rawang (TPIS) recently came alive with vibrant colors, big smiles, and patriotic spirit as we hosted our National Day (Merdeka) Celebration!

Under the inspiring theme “Unity in Diversity,” our campus transformed into a buzzing hub of Malaysian culture, traditional treats, and friendly competition. Everyone showed up in stunning style, proudly wearing traditional attire—from elegant Baju Melayu and Baju Kurung to striking Cheongsam and beautiful Saris.

🎉 Highlights From the Day

1. The Grand Kickoff We gathered in the Auditorium to kick things off, raising our voices loud and proud for Negaraku, Jalur Gemilang, and Keranamu. The room was filled with patriotism as we watched an inspiring Merdeka short video and listened to heartwarming poem recitations by our student representatives.

2. Crafts & Checkpoint Challenges

• Group A (KG to Grade 3): Our younger learners showcased their artistic flair in the Music Room, creating colorful paper mosaics, patriotic coloring pieces, and custom Merdeka eye masks. Later on, they tackled cup towers, stick puzzles, and classic games!
• Group B (Grade 4 to Grade 11): Older students took on an action-packed 6-Checkpoint Game Challenge across campus! Teams raced through traditional Ting-Ting, state flag guessing, memory tests, and blind challenges to score points. They also designed patriotic collages and flew custom decorated kites!

3. A Taste of Tradition No Malaysian event is complete without food! Everyone gathered to recharge with traditional local kuih, enjoying delicious crispy Karipap and sweet Kuih Lapis provided by the canteen.

4. Musical Chairs & Showcase The energy reached an all-time high with a Merdeka Project Showcase, a cozy movie session, and an intensely fun game of Merdeka Musical Chairs that had everyone cheering!

5. Awarding Our Champions We wrapped up our fantastic celebration in the Auditorium by handing out hampers to the top-performing teams from our group challenges.
