At Templer Park International School Rawang (TPIS), learning doesn’t always happen at a desk—sometimes it happens in the kitchen! Our Interest-Based Cooking Club recently turned into a fresh and colourful food lab as students learned how to prepare healthy salads from scratch.
With aprons on and smiles all around, students explored different leafy greens, vegetables, and simple dressings while practising basic kitchen skills like chopping, mixing, and plating. More than just making food, the session helped students understand where their ingredients come from and how small choices can make a big difference to their health.
Leafy meals are packed with vitamins, minerals, and fibre that help keep our bodies strong, boost energy levels, and support digestion. By learning to enjoy greens in a fun and hands-on way, students discovered that healthy eating can be tasty, creative, and exciting too.
The Cooking Club at TPIS is all about building life skills, confidence, and healthy habits—one delicious recipe at a time. And if this salad session is anything to go by, our young chefs are well on their way to making smart and nutritious food choices for the future! 🌿✨
