TPIS had organized a special event called “Green Day”. Our purpose is to educate students the importance of appreciating nature and connecting with the environment. We believe that learning should not be limited solely in the classroom. We took advantage of our spacious area and breathtaking views of nature to conduct our very first “Green Day”.
“Green Day” is not only good for the environment but also to help students instill a sense of responsibility and belonging.
The teachers, management team, parents and students collaborate together in making the event a successful one. The students brought their gardening tools and some seeds to plant in the school garden. The students had fun exchanging their seeds and learning to plant the seeds.
The event started with Dr Fadi showing a demonstration of seed planting to the students. Afterwards, the students took their gardening tools and started planting their seeds according to their name labels in the school garden.
“Green Day” is not only good for the environment but also to help students instill a sense of responsibility and belonging. The students can also relate the “Green Day” with their Science topic about living things and plants. We hope to have more “Green Day” and encourage people, specifically young children, to appreciate nature and be kind towards the environment.
