Cambridge International IGCSE
Welcome to TPIS
In the Lower Secondary stage, students enter a more focused phase of their educational journey. Learning shifts towards inquiry and problem-solving, providing greater opportunities for independent study and enabling them to make informed choices and decisions.
The academic goal for Lower Secondary students is to prepare them for the IGCSE examinations, which they will take in Years 10 and 11. The Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most recognized international qualification for students aged 14 to 16.
Students must select their IGCSE subjects before entering Year 10. Choosing the right subjects is crucial, as it significantly impacts their overall performance and future career options. Therefore, students and their parents will receive guidance on the appropriate combination and number of subjects for the IGCSE examinations.
The Cambridge IGCSE examinations provide a direct pathway to A-Levels, the IB Diploma, and other international pre-university programmes. Additionally, the curriculum is designed to enhance performance by fostering skills in creative thinking, inquiry, and problem-solving.
